Blizzard recently released new information about the upcoming Overwatch League, and high-skill players should be paying attention.
Ever since the release of their new hit game Overwatch, Blizzard has been hard at work to keep the updates rolling out, featuring updates to champions in the form of nerfs and buffs, as well as the occasional new hero release.
Today, however, brings us a different kind of update, one that looks to help Blizzard take care of their higher level Overwatch players and give them the ability to form teams and better practice for competitive environments. Recently, Blizzard has released a new type of high-rank survey that certain eligible players were allowed to opt in to, to qualify for this survey you have to meet the following requirements.
- A top-500 finish in Competitive Play (based on Skill Rating) in Overwatch Seasons 3 or 4 for any region
- A playoff finish in recent high-caliber tournaments such as APEX Season 2 or Premier Series 2017 Spring, or an invitation to Pacific Championship 2017 Season 1
- Other distinguishing qualifications indicative of top-tier talent, including but not limited to membership on an established professional Overwatch team
As you may have guessed, players must also meet the community guidelines of having their account be in good standings with minimal reports, as well as all the other legal issues like being over the proper age to compete in competitive gaming tournaments.
For the full information, check here and good luck. If you meet these requirements and take part in the survey, feel free to comment on whether or not you think Blizzard is moving in the right direction for Overwatch. We look forward to seeing you on the fields of battle!
